Dr. Robert Blaine joined the podcast to talk about his role as the Chief Administrative Officer for Mayor Chokwe Lumumba in Jackson. He shared what it's like setting up an administration and what they've dealt with in the first year in office. Dr. Blaine described his path into local government, he was a trombonist, conductor and academic before making the leap into managing a city. He also talked about Jackson's strategic plan and taking over the Jackson Public Schools.
